Southern Illinois Steel Guitar Show

I attended the Southern Illinois steel guitar show this weekend and it was excellent. It was extremely well organized. with great players, great attendance and a great band. The highlight for me was Darrell McCall's performance, he still has his old voice and personality. He told us many stories of the history of the steel guitar and famous recordings of the steel guitar. Also fantastic was the show's finale with David Frizzell and his brother Alan. Dennis Stroughmatt was called upon by numerous artists to sing, he is just fabulous at singing Ray Price songs, I have never heard better. Too many great steel players to mention. Put this show on your calendar for next year and thanks to Dennis and the others who put it on. Believe it or not everything was on time and scheule!
