OSGA {Oklahoma} annual Steel Convention June 24 & 25

Post by Larry King »

Heads up folks.....in 30 days the dates for our annual Convention
will be here . Two days chocked full of fantastic steel guitar
players and vocalists, all with an emphasis on preserving traditional
country music . Present day "country" is filled with an unwelcome
infusion of heavy drums and bass with lyrics you can't understand
and in some cases , can't repeat , particularly in mixed company .

Call me old fashioned {BTW thanks for the compliment} but music in
the genre of Ray Price , without apology or compromise , cannot be
replaced with the likes of Watermelon Crawl.

So if you're hungry for the REAL thing , mark your calendars for
those dates , Jun 24 & 25 @ St James in Jenks America . C U there

OSGA Convention location

I saw an inquiry as to where the Convention is located .
The answer is St James Presbyterian Church on Elm St ,
Jenks , Oklahoma . Jenks is part of the greater Tulsa
area and is a wonderful venue. After moving around to
several locations , we've finally found a great facility
at St James. We meet in their fellowship hall which comes
with kitchen facilities, bathrooms , plenty of FREE
parking....everything one could hope for in a venue .

We invite one and all to be with us June 24 & 25

I am thankful to be invited again this year. Oklahoma Show is a great show with some fantastic pickers. They will even let a "Rooster" play bass guitar.
