Pedal Steel Survey
Hi everyone!
I have a favor to ask. I am looking for pedal steel players to take my survey. It's purpose is to gauge the market for a new pedal steel builder.
This is for a class I am taking, and also of great personal interest. I will gladly post results when my class is over.
I need at least ten participants to get full points. Help a brother out??

Thank you!!

Done!
For the finish, I was tempted to be a wise-guy and fill in Wilsonart Laminate. Mica (Formica) is a brand of laminate, too.

There are only two options as I see it.
Either I'm right, or there is a sinister conspiracy to conceal the fact that I'm right.
Williams Keyless S-10, BMI S-10, Evans FET-500LV, Fender Steel King, 2 Roland Cube 80XL's,
Sarno FreeLoader, Goodrich Passive Volume Pedals, Vintage ACE Pack-A-Seat

Re: Pedal Steel Survey
I would be interested to see the results! My answers probably represent about 1% of the market so hopefully I didn't just screw up the survey.

Thank you so much everyone who participated, I really appreciate it
. The assignment is turned in, might as well show the results. Google Forms did not play nice with the Microsoft OS I am using, so hopefully the graphic is readable.

Re: Pedal Steel Survey
I think the wood thing should have been only natural woods vs. mica. Both curly or birdseye maple are to a certain degree "woods for looks"... most luthiers and even pedal steel builders will tell you that hardwoods with straight fibers are most desirable for TONE.
I think that in today's times, there is NO market anymore for a double raise/double lower PSG, as most common setups since the 1990's cannot be accommodated by such limited changer. 3r/3l is today "basic". Some have more (4 or 5 Raise (MSA & Excel) & 4 L are not uncommon anymore).
I would also warn that, while in the 70's thru earliest 2000's there were several brands from ShoBud, LittleBuddy, MSA (Red Barron), Zum (Stage One) and even Carter (Starter) who got into "Student"-or-"Entry Level" PSG... the numbers of players, numbers of fans attending conventions and the productions numbers were DRASTICALLY different than today.
Cheap Student model instruments (which a 2r/2l will be categorized as) need to sell by the 100's if not 1000's to "make" money of a smaller ticket and will still have to compete with a large base of "Pro"-model in the used market.
... J-D.

Re: Pedal Steel Survey
Interesting Mike, though not sure there were any unexpected revelations.
I'm not trying to be overly critical here, but do think this could've been a bit more concise and streamlined with fewer choices, which I believe could have improved the impact of your survey. For instance, the question, "What is your preferred string/neck layout?" some of the options like, SD10, Sd10, and SD-10 seems more about which spelling is preferred, rather than which string/neck layout is preferred. I'm pretty sure most would see the different spellings as referring to the same type of guitar. Just an observation.
And typical of J D Sauser, he makes some valid points.

Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous; praise is meet for the upright. Give praise to the Lord with the harp, chant unto Him with the ten-stringed psaltery. Sing unto Him a new song, chant well unto Him with jubilation. For the word of the Lord is true, and all His works are in faithfulness. The Lord loveth mercy and judgement; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.
