Well tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM the OSGA yearly show will begin. The show will feature Steel Guitar players but will include a full backup band and several singers.
Jason Stillwell (a excellent steel player) will get the show started.
Saturday morning I will get the show started along with John Buffington. John is one of the finest steel players around and I'm honered to have him joining me on my set.
I will also be joined by Charlie Banning on fiddle, my brother BJ Richards on bass and vocals, Clark Cox on drums and his wife Patsy Cox singing.
Remember there is no admission charge plus there will be free food and soft drinks. Donations will be greatly appreciated.

Free music and free food? What a country. We attended last year and it was spectacular. It's only fair to contribute with a donation to help cover the costs of putting on such a great assembly of talent.

It was a fantastic show with tons of talent. Jean and I got to visit with some old friends and make a few new one's. I also became a member of the club. The players and band was excellent. Jeff Culver handled the keyboards with class and style. Kevin's guitar was smoking hot, Chasity singing was incredible, and Larry King laid down some great bass lines. Drums and fiddle was done to perfection. The kitchen stayed busy with Barbara and Janet lending a hand to keep things moving. The venue is great Beverly and husband worked tirelessly as did Rick Crow to keep the players up and running with minimal downtime. I'm only sad that the time passes by too quickly and the weekend is gone. But there's always next year.

I had a great weekend as well. There was some great playing and singing and the fellowship was 1st class. I agree with Larry Deering on what he said. The ladies in the kitchen many times get overlooked but they did a great job as well. For me the Dr Pepper presentation by Beverly Harris and Tony Tipton was one I will never forget. You just never know what will happen at a steel show.
